forgot to say I read Riverstar's Home the other day. having escaped Dawn of the Clans, I actually kinda liked it.

River and Night are best friends and it never goes romantic and I like that.

Also our mans is magic. He meditates and receives visions from the river and can astral project himself out lmao

I also like that he straight up doesn't like Clear Sky. From the moment he meets him, River Ripple dislikes every part of him. He hates the way he's territorial, hates the way he treats his son and the way he treats his kin.

Hey everyone!

So.

I have been dealing with lots of death in my family as of late, which has been hindering my progress in writing. I'm still working, but progress has been slow given that I am also doing worldbuilding on the non-fic version, Ignavus which has changed from Strelles A Lot.

And thus! I have decided to post what I have finished for Embrace the Inferno while yall are waiting for me to get my butt into gear and edit up to it. It's not finished by a long shot but there's a lot I'm already pleased with so yeah

it'll be up within like, 2-15mins of me posting this.

Considering changing the names of the clans 🤔

I originally changed them back because I was worried it would be hard to keep up with what was happening if I changed the names but Spotty and crew have proven that folks can adapt

I like to imagine that all the Strelles!ThunderClan leaders have names to their eras, like Oakstar having the Era of Strife, due to his fighting with RiverClan, Bluestar having the Era of Peace after finally making peace with RiverClan, and Firestar's Era being the WHO THE FUCK FUCKED UP THIS HOUSE LIKE THIS GOOD GOD Era after having to fix every Clans mess :)

XD I've been thinking about giving them titles along that lines - purely based on @sparkwing's ideas and basically, the clan leaders get titles that suit their ruling. Maybe combining those two;

Oakstar | The Mad Star, Era of Strife

Pinestar | The Vanishing Star, Era of Strife

Bluestar | The Stone Queen, Era of Peace

Whitestar | The Progression, Era of Peace/Era of Uproar

Firestar | The Blazing Star, Era of Uproar

Things to consider lmao. There were probably many leaders during the Era of Uproar that took on the titles of The Mad Star (ala, Brokenstar, Tigerstar)

What’s the anaconda in shadow clan?

Anaconda is a Sacred Rank. They're the caretakers of Kassebera's Kin; a collection of boas that live in their territory. It's said that Anacondas can speak to snakes and can commune directly with the Souls. They perform ceremonies for holidays and are most frequently the holders of the title Prophet.

The other clans have ranks similar to this with varying duties based on the spirit their Sacred Rank is modeled after. WindClan's Sacred Rank for example is The Moth and they are required to become medics when chosen.

"Fun" Fact: Pinestar initially planned on taking Tigerkit with him when he joined the kingdoms as a farmer - he's hoped that by making him a normal kit who has to do chores like everyone else would help him avert his destiny. Leopardfoot fought him viciously and eventually blinded him in his left eye. Instead of standing up for him, many of the sitters and monarchs sided with Leopardfoot, disagreeing with him and insisting that he was unnecessarily hard on his son.

When Pinestar left, Sunstar didn't become deputy for half a moon because everyone assumed he was kidding. When it became clear that Pinestar wasn't coming back, Sunstar stepped in and declared the matter not to be talked about.

Everyone claimed not to know why ThunderClan was suffering but the elders know it's because ThunderClan chased out their own leader - a leader trying to do his best for them.

When TIgerclaw began his fall, the older cats desperately ignored it hoping that if they pretended they didn't see it, it would never happen.

Cause if it did.... that means Pinestar was right.
