What are the basic principles of strength training?
When you strength train, you are basically causing tiny tears in your muscle fibers. When these muscle fibers heal, they come back stronger and thicker than before.
There are some basic principles of strength training for beginner that you should remember when strength training:
1) Always use a weight that is challenging for the last two reps of your set. If you can do more than 12 reps, the weight is too light; if you can't do more than six reps, the weight is too heavy.
2) Always use good form. This will help to ensure that you're getting the most out of your workout and also preventing injuries.
3) Vary your routine often to prevent boredom and to challenge your muscles in different ways.
4) Focus on compound exercises, which are exercises that work for multiple muscle groups at the same time.
5) Get enough rest and recovery. This is when your muscles grow!
