I've been wearing my test headband around the house to see if it's the right size. I had to knit many, many extra rounds of the colourwork before I got my tension right, so now my headband doubles as a cowl!

When I first put it on I thought it was a little tight, but now that I've been wearing it for several hours it seems to have stretched out. Also, the person I'm going to make the actual headband for doesn't wear glasses, which makes the headband way more comfortable. But his head might be a teensy but larger than mine? Maybe? (I once sneakily tried on his baseball cap to get an idea of his head size and it fit me perfectly, so maybe not.)

I got held after school one time by my photo teacher.

I thought I was in a lot of trouble because I’d been slacking off all day.

But when I went to talk to him he just commended me for being a grade A student the whole quarter.

Mortified, I asked him how he knew.

He told me that he’s the teacher and why wouldn’t he know?

That was the moment I came to believe all teachers were mind readers because I thought he said I had done a good job being a gray-A student the whole time.
