Stargate Atlantis
We started watching Stargate Atlantis not so long ago. 1-3 episodes a day, it was good and fun. Until we arrived to season 4... A lot of changes here, important and charming characters died, new ones came to take over their positions and something definitely changed in the story line... The firsst 1-3 seasons were about exploring new words, meeting new people, having all sorts of conflicts with the wraith, replicators and the geniis, than making friends and allies from basically any sort. There were not to many feelings involved, the focus was definitely not on the personal romantic relationships between the crew. But there comes season 4... and everything revolves around feelings, smooshy smooshy behaviour, kids and family. Family that was not even mentioned for the previous seasons, now it is present in any single episode. And the sheer stupidity of some lines and dialogues are amazing. For example. Sheppard is on Earth, for his fathers funeral, when they discover that there is a replicator on the run... While talking on how to destroy it... the scientist explains Sheppard that the replicator is made from Neutronium and the only solution to destroy it is to burn it. And Sheppard plays "dumb", he has no idea what neutronium is... and also no clue that a few episodes earlier they destroyed an entire planet of repicators making the whol neutroium blob to collapse into the planet's core, and this way blowing up the planet.
Now... the lame ass who wrote this episode, probably forget about Sheppard being part of this plan, and sorry but something like blowing up a whole planet, making the replicators to become a giant blob of material, working together with the wrait, the two earth ships and some travellers, is not something they do all the time...
Anyway... I don't know why, but apparently this is a tendency to ruin the perfectly good show for the sake of bringing "new" audience who is not really interested in the movie...
Teyla's character is also ruined.
