i had this idea ages ago anyone up for some strider-y sadstuck?

au where bro is a lot like dirk in that he's very good with robotics and has access to captcha technology. dave is dying, or dies in some kind of accident, and bro manages to catch him in the last moments of his life and get a captcha of his brain, promising him everything is going to be okay and just trust me, you'll be fine

and he spends ages building the perfect davebot, fully functional android, his best work ever, and installs dave's captcha on it, because he just can't go without his lil bro

cue dave struggling to adapt to his new state of life and dealing with being robotic while not sure how he feels entirely about what bro has done to/with him
