This was it, the moment of truth, the moment in which the heroin confessed her love for her livelong friend. This was the moment were a sandbox friendship evolved into a beautiful romance. and I think I-- I like you and not...not only as my friend, my best-friend but...I like LIKE you. ❜
And now she was ready for the earth to swallow her whole. Cheeks were flushed and hands were sweating. She didn’t know what possessed her to let those words flow out from her lips. Yes, her little conversation with Kevin had somehow given her uncharacteristic courage but, now that everything was said and done, Betty was regretting every second of it. They had a beautiful friendship, and perhaps that’s how it should be. Now everything would be terribly awkward between the two of them.
