Yesterday my husband and I have been at a pumpkin patch in Del Mar, which is relatively close to where we live. I was hoping to find some beautiful heirloom pumpkins in soft colors like pink, gray green, apricot and off white. And I did! They even came with these lovely gnarly, twisted stems attached that give so much character to a pumpkin. I will clean them up today, since they came right of the fields and are quite dusty. Hope to find the time to decorate with them and take some pictures. This is a quick snap that my husband took directly at the patch. Aren’t these stripy ones pretty and interesting looking?
