I had a few like this treat me like total shit. My pop was organized in and was know for being a great worker and brother, but I came in threw the program and until I got out, it was very hard.. mind you I graduated jatc in 08, so I know this .
I have no problem with guys getting in by being organized. I've known a few myself that were awesome. But my foreman is a puke. Aside from his bizarre conviction that he couldn't get into the apprenticeship program because he was white, he has actually told me that he has no problem scabbing when work at the local dries up, and he has ridiculed my desire to attend union meetings.
I like my work. I get good grades on my homework and tests. I show up on time, every day. I do my work to the best of my knowledge and ability (which has admittedly involved a few minor fuck ups, due to the fact that I am a first punch and he likes to have me work with no journeyman, so my lack of experience bit me in the ass). This guy just seems to want to frustrate me to the point of quitting, and I'm not really sure why.
