So, I didn’t post my goals for the year but one of them is taking a leaf out of Claire’s @runningfortwo book and running (or swimming or biking, although lets face it I’m unlikely to do either of those with any frequency) “a k a day”. So here we are, day 3. It was raining this morning so we stayed indoors, then when Katie woke from her nap we went for a drive. More on that in a moment. When we got home it was 6pm, but the sun was out, so while the boy made dinner I took Katie out in the buggy for a short but not very quick run. It was actually quite hard - its been a while since I’m run with her in the buggy, so my weak legs struggled with her 12kg weight plus the tyres on the buggy were soft. Anyway, I very nearly broke my challenge so the fact that I went is a victory for me. Came home, we had a bath then ate dinner.
So we went for a drive. We are hoping 2017 is our year to finally buy a house. So we drove around some of the suburbs in the south looking at streets and locations, just to “look around”. We ended up at the Brooklyn Wind Turbine (which is actually owned by a company I used to work for). There is also a track that runs alongside it - a track in fact I used to run up with my running buddy. I miss that achievement. So its on the list of things to do this year - make it up to the wind turbine again).
