[hair]: Alyssa’s hair is typically around shoulder length, sometimes a little closer to chin, but never any shorter or longer. It’s a medium hue brown with varying shades of darker brown mixed in just enough to keep it from being boring or flat. It curls lightly at the ends, but in a manageable way that does not tend to turn into frizz or fly aways even in bad weather. It grows at an average length, needing to be trimmed every other month or so. She generally leaves it down, though might pull the side lengths back out of her face if she’s working, cooking, etc. She has a light layer of hair on her arms, a bit of peach fuzz at the nape of her neck, a tiny little happy trail from her bellybutton down that isn’t quite visible at first glance.
[face]: Alyssa’s facial features are generally soft; her face is a little on the longer side. Her jaw slopes gently into a dimpled chin and wide cheekbones slope upwards from a delicately formed nose with slightly flaring nostrils. Her lips are comfortably sized for her features, soft and slightly plump. Her eyes are large, but not too much so, with brilliant blue eyes that are likely her most memorable feature. They are very slightly almond shaped, framed by soft brown lashes and topped by eyebrows that she keeps carefully crafted to slope up and then down again towards the temple. Her ears are slightly angular, peaked at the top and angling down in a defined line from mid-ear to where they meet her neck & jaw with very little, if any, of a defined earlobe.
[skin]: Her skin is very soft and is naturally a lightly tanned color. She has only a small number of scars – two on her right forearm from an encounter with a bludger that shattered her arm into multiple compound fractures, and a small scar on her left temple from a childhood accident. She has a tattoo on her back (about eight inches in diameter) of the life tree, with a number of small sigils and runes woven into the leaves (the basis of a protective spell). She doesn’t freckle much, she has a mole on her forehead that is mostly the same color etc. so fairly easy to miss.
[build]: Alyssa is 5′7″ and fairly sturdily built. She is not slender, nor overweight, but a good healthy weight with a bit of muscle that she has kept from her quidditch years and keeps up with regular exercise.
