Ryan who got bit way before Los Santos, back when he was in Georgia, who was lucky to have survived the bite at all, who didn't have anything like a pack to guide him through that first horrible full moon

Ryan who left Georgia not exactly willingly (running across state borders, through woods and mountains, darting across dark highways, half-hoping someone will hit him because the taste of blood is still in his mouth...)

Ryan who managed to join up with the Fake AH Crew, who are all so human and all so normal that he can almost forget that he's a monster

(and he becomes a monster of a different kind, in Los Santos, but he's a normal human monster so he's okay with it)

Ryan who gets caught under a full moon with the rest of his crew (his pack, the wolf inside him rumbles, but Ryan doesn't let himself think of them like that), and they're all less terrified of him than they should be

Ryan who pushes a box of silver bullets into Ray's hands, just in case he says, because he knows that Ray won't hesitate (and he finds half the box in a drawer in Geoff's bedroom when he's finding a shirt to steal, but he can't bring himself to be upset. it's safer this way, he tells himself. better)
