After all, surviving and stopping yet another outbreak did lead to some bonding and understanding, plus, he and Chris did sort of get to understand each other better so there was that.

There hadn't been much time for one-on-one since New York.  He and Rebecca never had much of a relationship to begin with, but tragedy and shared experience has a way of bringing people together, and Leon found that he liked her.  He only wishes he could take back their first meeting to introduce himself in a more positive light.  There was nothing like being drunk and in mourning as a first impression.

He tries to not let it bother him.  Instead, he places a drink in front of her -- more sugar than coffee -- and pulls up his chair, leaning back into his seat. "On me," he says, handing her back her change. There's an awkward silence before he clears his throat and asks, "How you holding up?"﹙ @strrmedic ♡'d. ﹚
