How do structural imbalances occur? The origin of a unilateral imbalance such as this one, which is showing up in @rus5comune ‘s overhead press, can be complex in nature. The common things to look for are a collapsed arch and ankle on one side of the body; rotated or flared hemipelvis, rotation anywhere in the spine, and cranial misalignments. In this case, I worked on aligning the athlete’s second cervical vertebrae. This brought his system significantly back into alignment, however, there are more pieces to the puzzle and would require further assesssment. The goal is to understand someone’s pattern of imbalance from their big toe all the way up to their cranial bones, and then begin to reverse it and bring them back into balance for the long term. #bkeintegration #athleteengineering #training #smartraining #balance #patternrecognition #sports #athlete #crossfit #structuraltherapy (at Crossfit Toy Box)
