Hi yes I just watched Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans and it is all I am going to be talking about for the next couple of hours
It was deeply disturbing, but hey, the memes and general fandom outrage are very much helping /srs
Hi! How about 6, 21 and/or 27 for the writer's ask? That's 6. Single/multiple POV? 21. Fave character(s) to write for? and 27. Fave line/scene? Hope many things make you smile today! - Shadow
Thank you! I hope many things make you smile as well today :)
6 - single/multiple POV?
Depending on the piece, I will write either. But I usually write multi POV. It helps me understand each character better and cover a wider range of stories. Sometimes having multi POV also lets me clarify why certain events happened when they did. For instance, in my current piece I'm writing, I have two plots focused around one character. However, that character is a prisoner and is only aware of plot B. I'm using other characters' perspectives to tell Plot A, so that when everything comes together, there's been a build-up and I don't have to give an explanation at the end. Given the ending... there's no room for one anyway, the chain of events doesn't allow for anyone to explain what had happened and my main character wouldn't have been able to fully piece it together. Plus! Writing multi POV allowed me to add in some other fun character interactions, so.
I've noticed in books I've read that I enjoy the reading more if I can see the perspectives of multiple characters. Not that I won't enjoy a book if it only has one POV, but towards the end of the book only seeing in one character's head feels stifling and I'm really only reading for the plot then, not that character.
In fic, I have no problem reading either way, and in fact I prefer reading single POV simply because the author clarifying whose perspective it is throws me off. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
21 - favorite character(s) to write for?
Ghdkjfk It depends on who I'm fixated on at the moment and whose character I've figured out enough to write. Right now it's Celebrimbor.
My favorite OC to write for is probably Daryck. Too bad he's going to be dying soon (in 350 years, but whatever).
27 - favorite lines/scenes?
You see, I have this favorite set of lines that I've written, and I made a note of it somewhere, but I can't find it. But it probably comes down to, oh, every line in this fic.
My favorite scene, I think, is a scene from who we were and who we've lost, where Annatar and Celebrimbor are sitting on a rooftop and talking, then the next scene where they're sleeping beside each other.
Jinxes and King?
King- Describe your ideal day.
A productive one. Either getting school work done or doing several hours of writing, or something in that vein. A productive day that will leave me tired but feeling accomplished, and that was focused around something I needed or wanted to get done so I don't have the guilt of putting something important off hanging over me at the end of the day.
Jinxes- If you could be anywhere, where would you want to be?
I agree with your answer of Rivendell mate. But also Gondolin!! I have this multi-fandom oc who lived there for the year before its fall and well, I've always wanted to go. Meet the people. Befriend Maeglin
Elrond is awesome but I have this inexplicable love for Turgon
I have some, so is anyone interested in seeing random quotes by my ocs, most of which read as incorrect quotes?
In hindsight, some sleep would help
Want to write but the brain says no rn
To anyone who followed me expecting Silm content and is now being bombarded with Criminal Minds... sorry not sorry
