Is this movie at all relevant I love it so much but do people care about it 🤔 and how do we feel about new stuff on here in general. This is a little short I apologize and don't worry a Hesh post will be posted later today.
"I'm going to go out for a while." Was all you heard your boyfriend say before hearing the door click shut. That was at noon. It was 2:00 AM now, you stirred awake from heavy thumps and Barts barking, you loved that dog but gosh.
"Bart! Shut up!" You yell getting up out the bed, curious of all the commotion. "It's way to early do you have to be making a racket, Stuart." Was this one of his projects again, no not even he would be working this late. As you turn the corner your bleary eyes focused on a man, who looked like a ren fair reject, passed out on your couch.
"Isn't it amazing, sweetheart. I've done it, I've found the frayed seam in time and jumped through it! I took a walk in 1876 today, followed the Duke of Albany, and he is now here in our living room-" Stuart spoke.
"No it's not amazing... there a Duke from the 19th century in the 21st century. What have you done, I told you jumping off a bridge was manic." You said in disbelief. You believe Stuart, he wouldn't make such a bold lie and that's what scared you.
"But it validates my whole life, everything I worked for"
"Validation shouldn't need to come from actually time traveling"
"He'll return to his time as soon as the portal opens again, I promise"
He presses a kiss to your forehead before scrambling to fix the dog gate Bart keeps knocking over. You can't help but stare at this strange man, flabbergasted that this is even happening. You sink down into the couch opposite of the Duke, Stuart joined you soon after tossing an arm over your shoulder.
"For the record I blame you... you gave me the drive I needed to properly test my theory's out in the real world." He said as if you were a deity he consulted every hour.
"I didn't tell you to jump off a bridge, I didn't tell you to bring back some really old guy" You said with a huff. You loved Stuart you really did, and you loved his hobby and what he enjoys. Not a lot of people are as invested in physics as him, and that's cool. But not when we are jumping off bridges into time portals. But this is the reality you had to live with, and the reality you were stuck with.
"I do love you very much... even if make these mistakes in my work, I don't mean to make you upset."
