@stubbornjerk god i know???? they claim that they're being progressive and more accepting of "unconventional" representation in our media but it's all just a big load of stereotypical harmful bigotry that does nothing but fuel the general public's nasty incorrect way of thinking even more. what's worse is that there are people in the industry (mostly from our generation) who are trying their best to fix it and offer more accurate portrayals and stories, but they keep getting shoved to the side because it's not "what the audience wants", as if the audience isn't complaining about how unjust and biased it all is already. all the big corporations care about are the business and monetary benefits without any regard for the people they're harming in the process of attaining big money. i'm so sick of it
