Silver Fox Steve Survey

Calling all writers, artists, betas, and pinch-hitters:

Our mod team is putting together a Silver Fox Steve Bang that will be starting in January of 2022! This bang’s theme focuses on Steve Rogers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a silver fox, which is defined as “an attractive middle-aged man having mostly gray or white hair.” While we are still in the early stages of planning, we are seeking feedback from those who may be interested in participating in this bang.

This May, we’re blending the grit of WW2 with the magic of mermaids, mermen, sirens, and selkies—all in one low-key, no-signup event! 🐚💌

How it works:

Write a love letter set during WW2—trench confessions, battlefield vows, or channel-crossing missives.

Add a Mermay Twist: Imagine your letter is written to or from a mermaid, merman, siren, or selkie—bring the enchantment of the deep right into your wartime missive!

Stucky Historical Fiction Mini Bang 2025, Check-In #1

📣 Hi @everyone! It’s time for our First Check-In! We’re officially kicking off the 2025 Stucky Historical Fiction Mini Bang, and we can't wait to see the incredible stories you’re dreaming up!

📝 Check-In #1 is now open and runs from May 20 to June 10 This is where you'll share the core details of your fic idea—no need to start drafting yet, but now’s the perfect time to start outlining or brainstorming.

All the info you submit will be used to create claims slides, which are how artists and betas will choose the projects they’d like to join. So, the more info you give, the easier it will be to find your perfect match!

🎨 Artists & Betas – Heads Up! Claims will open June 15, and you’ll be picking your favorite fic ideas directly from these slides. Artists: You’ll choose your top 3 fics and fill out a form once the slides are posted. Betas: You’ll browse and pick fics marked as “Looking for a Beta.” That way, you can avoid anything not in your comfort zone and connect with authors you’re excited to work with!

📆 Important Dates: • Check-In #1 Open: May 20 – June 10 • Artist/Beta Claims Open: June 15 • Claims Close: June 19 (buffer included) • Teams Announced: June 20
