Tales of the Music Room RETURNS! New year, new school, new adventures! Start up week went excellently in all kinds of ways, my new school is friendly and helpful and awesome and I really look forward to being here.
To kick the year off in the right spirit, according to the ‘get to know you’ questions I asked the kids to fill in for me to make sure I am calling them by their preferred name which might not necessarily be what’s on the attendance sheet (shorter versions, middle names, and nicknames are all common, among a multitude of other things!), this year I will be instructing:
2 Princesses
Duke A. of Our City’s Name
Cookie Monster
At least three different Pokemon
ROBERTO the MAGNIFICENT (kid’s actual name is not even from the same CONTINENT as any language that includes Roberto as a common name)
Someone who thinks I live under a rock and don’t know what MOFO means (congrats on being my first parent phone call, buddy!)
And 5 completely illegible scribbles, who I can only hope did it deliberately in homage to the Artist Formerly Known As, but in reality probably just have handwriting that really is That Bad.
And that’s only the first half of my classes! I look forward to who I meet tomorrow, and hope the responses are equally entertaining! (Joke’s on you, kids, apart from Mofo Kid, I absolutely WILL call you what you write on this form. All year. Even when you are WELL sick of the joke. :D )
