Time flies when you're having fun!
It sounds crazy, but my first semester of college is more than halfway over! It’s been a whirlwind of learning, working, making friends, and having fun. Some of my favorite things have been my weekly environmental studies lab, my freshman year seminar (food, people, and the planet), joining the Student Events Board (SEB) and working events, and hanging out with my friends.
This past Saturday was Shoremal, the big SEB event of the fall semester. Short for “Shoreman Formal”, alumni and current students flocked to this highly anticipated party held under a white tent on Kent Lawn. It was such a unique experience for me because: it was my first ever Shoremal, I was able to go to the dance and have fun, but I also got the opportunity to set up the event and work a shift checking students in. It was fun to be on the “staff” side of the event for a little while. Student Events board is definitely one of my favorite things that I do here at WAC!
