I'm re-enrolled at the University of Maryland at College Park to pursue a professional degree in sociology. Until late January 2019, I was still living in my parents' home in Gaithersburg, which was difficult for a number of reasons (I don't drive, so I had to take the bus, which is about a 2-and-1/2-hour commute, both ways; living there was just an overall toxic environment, (along with my history of emotional abuse and neglect; more on that here: shorturl.at/hjPT9) which wasn't conducive to healing my depression and balancing my schoolwork and other needs, etc.). I have depression, anxiety, and chronic pain that's made finding consistent part-employment difficult as well. I only have on-campus housing until August 15th, and then I don't know what will happen, plus I might even lose my SNAP benefits. This campaign is in place to help me find a home where I'll be safe, plus pay for bills and groceries. Please help me as much as you're able!
I know people don’t like GoFundMe, so I started a PayPal pool. I’m really close to getting a place, I just need the money to pay rent and for other expenses.
Please help a trans, disabled black femme out!
