Studentpreneurs Chapter 3; America is the Best Entrepreneurs' Country in the World
Question is Why America really concern to develop their #Studentpreneurs?
Based on The Economist, there are 4 reasons to answer this question:
1. US have the venture capital industry which is the most mature in the world. In 1946, US already have the American Research & Development Corp., a venture funding agency which is being the key factor of the entrepreneurship development. Moreover, there was a Highland Capital Partners and IHS Global Insight which are giving the funding to new companies.
2. The relationship between the academia (lets says: student) and industry people really tight. The US's student tend to place themselves not to be an elite scholars. They didn't be reluctant to merge with the entrepreneurs and industry practitioners. For example, Stanford University make entrepreneurship as their big theme of campaign. The relationship also reflected from the number of US's bachelor who turned to be entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley.
3. US adjust the open immigration policy. Why? Because 52% of new company in Silicon Valey was built by the immigrant. People who are in the shoreline land have bigger tendency to be entrepreneurs in comparing with native people.
4. US's consumers like new products because they have different characteristics. They tends to adopt technology and new products although it means that they have to more study to use them. They also not mind to spend their savings to try new products. US's consumers vocally give a feedback to the factories about the weaknesses of products that they bought.
So, that's it! The analysis from The Economist about why America is the best entrepreneurs' country in the world. We can learn from that. America can do that, why we can't?? It didn't start from our parents, our teachers, president, or others. It started from us, youth generation! #Studentpreneurs generation ;)
