Mo with her mindblowing first project, a matched pair of butterfly short swords. She forged them from 80CrV2, then added hammered copper guards and purple burl G10. The last pic is her showing off the "First Sword" coin she earned doing this project. This makes me so proud - she tackled a very tough first blade head on and knocked it outta the park. A seax I am wrapping up: W2 cutting edge stacked with a twist core and wrought iron spine. Blade was deeply hot blued then sanded back ever so gently to make the pattern pop. Cast bronze fittings with buffalo horn.
