Had the pleasure of hanging out with these young ladies this weekend at the @thepactx Tournament of Champions! The goal and focus was to encourage them to give maximum effort, ensure that they’re learning the game, and letting them know the mistakes made through giving effort is ok...don’t be so hard to yourself. The result? JV Girls Champs! Girls Basketball, in my opinion, is the most brutal sport on the planet...it can be a bloodbath at times as was today! Helping them through tough moments in games and guiding them through their emotions is well worth it...it’s the reason why I coach! Building better athletes has been my goal for over 18 years and will continue to be. I continue to strive to be the best coach I can be and am appreciative of those who’ve mentored me along the way. I’m grateful for these young ladies (two are my own) and their parents who have allowed me to be apart of their lives in this capacity!
