I got a fee waiver from NCCU! I’m excited, this school is on my top 10 list. I’ve heard mixed things about NCCU but I know their history department is amazing and they’re quite inexpensive. I feel like I would be accepted there, and this definitely reassures me that I have a chance. 🌺🌸

Hey Everybody!

I’m Tea, a 16 y/o who runs the blog @studiedblack . I’ve had a rough few years in HS and I’m not one of those studyblrs were Ivy League schools are the goal. But I’ve been striving to my goal of going to College one day and becoming a teacher! I’ll be mainly applying to HBCUs (which I haven’t been seeing a lot in the studyblr community) so hopefully I can share some of the research that I’ve done on HBCUs to influence some of y’all to look into them! My favorite subjects are history, English and art and I’m hoping to major in History one day.

Sophomore year I took AP World and got a 5. Last year I took AP Lang and APUSH and got a 4 and 5 respectively. This year I’ll be hopefully taking AP Lit and AP Gov. I’ll also be taking non-AP Environmental Science and Probability and Statistics. 

I’m stressed and anxious yet charismatic when I can be so if anybody wants to talk or anything I’m all ears! Can’t wait to meet some of you.

Soooo...hi?

I have kinda abandoned my studying blog during peak appblr/studyblr season and now everything has passed. A lot has happened that had been stressing me and I ended up not only abandoning this blog but tumblr as a whole. I also don’t have a IPad anymore (damned weak Apple screens!) and it’ll be harder to take pictures until I get another or get an IPhone. However I may start making small little updates on my college/scholarship journey and how things had been going. I also might do tips on the college application experience for low GPA students.

Hopefully the studyblr community is still alive and well~!
