Karma chakra: Indian Anima
As Japanese anime ruled over the world like a hurricane, Rajorshi Basu stood tall in the storm with India' first animation studio “Studio Durga”. Witnessing the popularity of anime among the youth, an anime-influenced drama “karma chakra” was set in motion by Studio Durga. Billed as the first independent Indian anime production, Rajorshi Basu directed, produced and wrote the film Karma chakra. In this you will see Swastika Mukherjee in the lead role with Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Parno Mittra and many other versatile actors, the project was first announced in 2017 and Production was completed in 2020.
Karma chakra: episode zero is planned to be the first of a series of three karma chakra films. With appreciation from the Indian audiences, the film was well received globally earning laurels at the 2020 Independent Short awards in LA. Through collaborations such as Ramayana and Batu Gaiden, Studio Durga anime receives hand-drawn animation for Indians. Karmachakra is the story of an orphan girl who is trying to find out her roots. It is a mystery drama that takes its cues from Hindu psychology and mythology and is set in turbulent present-day India. The release date of Karmachakra is currently unknown, although the first 20 minutes of the movie have already been posted on YouTube as a "pilot episode."
