If you are taking art classes or just like crafting in general, then Alpha Stationery Mall in Namdaemun is the best place to go. Be prepared to be spend a lot of money because this entire area has tons of shopping and it is all reasonably priced.
Alpha has four floors and is built like a labyrinth. The first floor is stationery and , second is office/school supplies and kid crafts, third is painting/drawing and scrapbooking, and the fourth is home and contruction type stuff. There are also multiple stairways so pay attention to where you are because you don’t always go out where you came in.
The way the store works is you go to each floor, pick out the things you want, take them to the register and you will be given a receipt. You will do this for each floor. If you pick something from each floor then you will have four receipts to take with you. Head down to the first floor registers and that is where you will pay for everything all together.
