It’s the first day of my favourite month!! Today has been super busy with reading list preparations, including:
-A review of Christopher Hibbert’s ‘The French Revolution’ in preparation for my Tocqueville module (this is such a great read for an interesting narrative of the Revolution that doesn’t feel too laborious!). For the most part I’ve just been constructing a timeline of key events to use as a reference later on
-Two more chapters from Paul Johnson’s ‘20th Century Britain’ focusing on youth and Sexuality (The social history features in this book are so useful!) including comprehensive annotations and a record of historiography
-Now I’m making some notes on source work including Vera Brittain’s ‘Testament of Youth’
I’m feeling really productive though usually a cosy rain/coffee/She & Him combination has that effect!!
