A country's idiomatic expressions often represent what people place the most importance and value in. With so many expressions that contain food, it's obvious that wining and dining is a staple in the daily life of a Spaniard. Read on to see what interesting idioms they use in their lexicons.
Studying foreign languages also means going to the library and getting out without buying anything because it’s full of books you’d love to read but YOU WANT TO READ THE ORIGINAL VERSION NOT THE TRANSLATED ONE GODDAMN
The best time to post...
...is when your world is on fire! I'm in a very splendid mood today! After a week of sleeping less than 5 hours each night, i slept for 12 hours last night! It was beautiful. I feel so well-rested and ready to kick some ass this week! I took some rockstar notes during classes today, I might add. Let's be studious and gleeful, yeah? I mean, why else would we attend university?
Lent starts this Wednesday and I think I know what I'm giving up- Facebook and Junk food. It was really hard to think of creative things, I guess I don't have a lot of "dreaded" habits to throw out. So I decided that like 99.9% of college teens I spend waaaay too much time on that silly old website. And eating healthy is always a good thing. So...thank you Jesus for showing me the way! Bahahaha.
French pronouns are tricky. Actually, it makes me think about English pronouns. I mean, ours might also be quite complicated but I'm too use to it to realize. Learning a foreign language really makes you learn your own language, I think. Now I know all the types of pronouns and what they do. Subject pronouns, Direct Object pronouns, Indirect Object pronouns, and Stressed pronouns. Isn't that a silly thing? Learning new things about your mother tongue through a foreign language? I love it.
And, as a closure, I must say that I am so very excited for Spring Break! Dude & Dudettes, it's only in 5 days! Eek! I think that we should all do funny, exciting and crazy things! Things that make a good story. So when people at school ask the generic, "what did you do for spring break", I will refuse to reply with "went home, saw friends, not much." We will have a wonderful time, n'est ce pas? I believe so.
