Attended my first meeting as an ICAI member, and not as a student.Walked into a room full of Chartered Accountants with atleast 15+ years of experience, to a room that had people I looked upto in my years as a student and I still look upto them.
It was a bit intimidating, but I was surprised by how open they were to communication once I took the initiative to start approaching them.Talked with a lot of them, learnt a lot, took in their views and advice and I felt really good by the end of the day.
But as I came back home, my brain started comparing where I am, to where I want to be, and even if I feel motivated to push to that point, the "fear" is a bit overwhelming.
And I keep reminding myself to move forward everytime even if a bit of fear start appearing. And I hope that one day, everything I do despite the fear makes my future self happy.
