hey squad it’s nice to meet ya

i’ve been putting off an introduction post because i don’t love to talk about myself, but i want to connect with the community here! 

specifically, i really want to follow and support folks who aren’t full-time students, are balancing working with studying, have taken time off in their educational journey, or are in their 20s+ and want to find studyblr content from post-high school/undergrad! 

if any of this sounds like you, come hang in the new group chat, “grown-up students”  and/or post under #grownupstudents so we can all find each other! the more the merrier! come to motivate, be motivated, ask advice, give advice, vent, find solidarity, or just swap memes!

some stuff about me:

age 25, she/her pronouns

live in the Boston area

graduated undergrad a few years ago, majored in political science and american studies

wrote a political science honors thesis for my degree focusing on feminist theories of international political economy

was a paralegal for a year, now i work full-time managing two awesome independent coffee shops 

currently taking harvard edx courses on contract law, architecture, and 18th century opera (i love a varied courseload/liberal arts!) 

potential JD class of 2023 or 2024...we’ll see

STUFF THAT ISN’T ABOUT STUDYING:

i have a sweet rescued pitbull named merry christmas. she was my emotional support animal in undergrad and has been with me for four years now

i don’t just love pitbulls, i love pitbull (mr. 305, mr. worldwide)

i’m in long-term treatment for depression and a host of others. i’m very passionate about recovery, mental health resources, accessibility, and normalizing non-neurotypical life 

i ride horses (and rode competitively when i was in school!)

just bought my first car (it’s old enough to graduate high school)

i’m currently v v into polar seltzer (that ginger peach seasonal flavor thooo)
