I realized how much better my sister's high school and my cousin's school (both are different schools) in lockdown is- like 1-4 weeks of modules and they ask you like 3 questions and my sister's teachers don't force them to open up their camera while i literally have to do like 5 essays and its due in a week, have to self record on PE which i have alot due to body ache, forces us to open up our cameras even thought i feel like vomitting when i do and i feel so anxious- im only in 6th gradenand they are giving out collage type assignments 🧍♀️💔
Argh, tell me about it.
While I'm never gonna be late for school since all I have to do is open my laptop and sign in to classes at like, 5 minutes before class starts,
homework given is absolutely bull. I do find myself still buried in a mountain pile of work, much more than when I'm physically in school.
I think teachers have the conception that students have more time in their hands to complete homework since they're at home, but they totally forgotten that no matter what, we only have 24 hours a day, so it doesn’t change a thing.
Whether virtually in class or physically in class. Some of us have family issues, or distractions that really destroys and interrupts our work progress and focus.
And they say to just "fix it", but really, when you think about it, you can't fix a family problem by yourself over night, it needs ALL your family members to come together and FIX IT, and it takes awhile to do so. It requires dedication and time, and we don't have time to actually "fix it" because the teachers could throwing piles of work at us.
Instead of blindly saying to go "fix our problems at home", they need to start thinking about how this problem can't be fixed over night, and stop blaming the students that they're "lazy to fix it" or "video gaming all night".
The stress build up because of how it pressures us to fix things makes us do things impulsively and we don't think about doing the work afterwards since it pretty much makes us process our thinking process properly.
