This lady is called a "stump stabber" and that long stinger looking thing is actually an ovipositor! She will drill into the tree until she finds a tunnel made by pine-eating grubs. Then she will lay her eggs inside, and when they hatch, they will consume the larvae who chewed the tunnel.
