You know, I really appreciate that in The Mandolorian and The Book of Boba Fett there is never any attempt to pair off Djarn and Bo-Katan or Boba and Fennec. Just absolutely zero forced hetslop despite the shows having male protagonists and female supporting leads.

Just thinking about how Din has his forever baby/toddler. And he’s going to pass away before Grogu gets to his “teen” years.

But can you imagine the person who takes over Grogu’s care?

I bet they get the “you’re not my dad!” comment at least 3 times a day.

I can imagine Grogu would be a headstrong teenager, especially with all the knowledge he has accumulated in his life. I do think it would be tempered by Din’s lessons though. I bet Grogu becomes laid back and polite adult like his dad. Willing to barter, but also willing to throw hands as soon as you try to stab him in his back. Like his dad, walk into the room decked out in beskar and wait for the violence to come to you.

so I crocheted a baby Yoda/Grogu, and let me tell you. I got a store bought one towards the beginning of the show, who is also good, but I have such an emotional connection to this wonky yarn muppet. He is my son now. I feel a spiritual connection to Din Djarin. I too would battle the galaxy for him.
