On the 21st of this month! I’m heading back to our house in Bangkok for a little while before and after Europe though, to see family and that kind of thing.

OMGGGG WHERE IN EUROPE ARE U GOIN.. i went with my fam for a month over christmas, so so so good!!!

I’m going to a bunch of different places with my family. :0 My mum wanted to take us all on a trip for my parents’ wedding anniversary or something? Nearly thirty years maybe.

AFAIK we’re going to: Germany (Munich? and some other places where we know family friends?), Austria (Vienna), the Czech Republic (Prague), France (Marseilles), Italy (Naples), and a bunch of places in Spain like Granada and Madrid.

So far my goals are: eating sachertorte in Vienna, eating bouillabaise in Marseilles, eating pizza margherita in Naples, and checking out the Moorish food in Granada. If anyone’s got food suggestions then please tell me lol

Basically seems like if you want to dump a body in the inner city, King's Park is a popular choice?

i have never heard of so many flavours you mentioned! wow

They do a lot of flavours based on Mexican recipes, like cucumber lime and chilli ones! But they also do a fair bit of their own based on the fresh local produce available over here. And some of the ones we got today are based on cocktails.

They're called La Paleta and they have a page on facebook. I think there's more than one page called that but they're the one with around 2300 likes. Mostly you have to chase them up by going to the various markets around Perth - I think they're pretty frequently at Bather's Beach Markets in Freo on Saturday nights and Grower's Green Markets in South Freo on Sunday mornings. They also go to Subiaco Sunset Markets on Thursday evenings sometimes and the Twilight Hawker's Market in the city!

*edit I think they dooo sell some of their stock to some specific shops in Freo if you want a stationary place but I'm not sure. It's definitely on their fb page though so go check it out!

Lurpak is my favourite, but I haven't tried many.

Lurpak has a pretty sterling reputation so I wouldn't be surprised. I think Lurpak is also cultured. I can't remember the last time I had it, so I'd be interested in trying it again to compare with the cultured brands here. I know that Australian butters are generally more yellow in colour, but I'm not sure if it would make a huge difference if they're prepared in similar ways re culturing.

what's your favourite?? i was promoting devondale butter for a while for my job

Capel traditional butter is currently my go-to butter because it's still really delicious but cheaper than the more sophisticated cultured butters. so I can buy it more frequently than, like, Meander Valley's Saint Omer. That said, if i had the money... :9
