Colt Seavers doesn’t actually experience real snow until his 20s during the third movie he’s hired for. The entire thing is this historical action/thriller set in Russia, so the entire crew filmed everything in a real snow setting.
And this Florida Boy is amazed by it. Genuinely blown away. He’s never experienced anything like this in real life before, and as cheesy as it sounds, it’s nothing like what’s in the movies.
He’s not the only one on the stunt crew who’s experiencing snow for the first time either, so the rest of the crew who understand the appeal of snow are fully intent on showing these two poor boys a proper snow day.
So on a day off, the entire stunt crew pulls on coveralls, boots, toboggans, and gloves and they go have a field day. Literally. They grab anything from the set they can use for sleds with the good intentions of bringing them back in the same condition they were taken it works out for 80% of the things they bring and they show the snow ignorant how it’s done.
Imagine around 40 men ranging in ages from 20s to 40s acting like 10 year olds in the snow. Sledding, snow ball fights lots of those, trying to make snowmen that look like people in the business they know and that brought a lot of laughs and inside jokes, and of course, stunts in the snow. Sled jumps and parkour and snowball trick shots. They even tried to make a snowball big enough to reenact Indiana Jones running from the boulder. Their “boulder” only ended up being hip high and they did not make their boulder at the top of the hill so it could roll. Which in the end, that was probably for the best.
After hours of playing like only boys can play, they retreat to the shelter of heated rooms, hot showers, and coffee or hot chocolate. And it literally is one of the best days of his life. No wonder people love snow so much!
But one thing Colt loves about snow is actually something he discovered on his own.
Later that night, his mind is not ready to sleep yet though his body is worn out from a full day in the snow. He’s got an early morning, but he doesn’t care. He grabs a cup of hot chocolate he wants coffee but it’s too late for that and wanders back outside to the steps of where he’s staying. Just because. And he’s glad he did because the snow is falling so gracefully and peacefully that he’s honestly taken back by the serenity of it. So for once in who knows how long, the guy who loves to talk, the guy who can’t really stay still to save his life, the guy who is more on the move than anyone he knows takes a seat on the steps with his hot chocolate and watches the snow fall and lets his mind turn off.
Actor/stuntman Conan Stevens (Hobbit) gives insights into health and his own struggles with being healthy.........
Look into it if you are not 100% healthy and cannot get any answers from your Doctor, especially if you are suffering from the ‘mysterious’ metabolic syndrome, have troubles thinking clearly, or just can’t seem to feel well and energetic on a daily basis. There is a lot more information available now than 3 years ago. In short I had hepatic-colonic recirculation (leaky gut syndrome (with celiac disease a subset of this)), chronic fatigue, mental fog, fibromyalgia, thyroid fatigue, pre-diabetes, and something else I am just trying to figure out and fix now where the inside of my muscles are all stuck together and do not function properly, making it impossible to grow – it seems to be due to my previously terribly overloaded lymphatic system. Though I beat the usual accompanying obesity by stopping most sugars and junk food and exercising 4 to 6 hours a day, though I have since dropped 3-4 inches off my waist even though I had visible abs the whole time!
This all stems from faeces and undigested food leaking though the damaged gut walls into your bloodstream, your liver working overtime to clean the blood then dumps the wastes back into the colon, yes you guessed it, where it leaks back through the walls into the blood. It makes you very sick over time, and leaving your immune system compromised. I tried worked on fixing the symptoms one by one until I worked my knowledge back to the root cause.
So the mental fog is because I was literally a sh*t head, well sh*t for brains, along with all my other organs from my contaminated blood.
To the readers: write to me personally with your details and problems for more information if you think I might be able to help you find the information you might need to deal and defeat any of these problems. For a bandaid of relief you could try a week or two of double dosing a standard magnesium supplement, many people will find this gives them a noticeable boost within 2-3 days for reasons I won’t go into here.
