Hélène Dutrieu was born 141 years ago and she was a cycling champion who did tricks and was a wartime ambulance driver in France.
in 1893 she set the women's world hour world record in cycling and won the track cycling championships in 1893. All very impressive, and it didn’t stop there! She also did stunts, and even invented one called "The Human Arrow" (La Flèche Humaine) by jumping 15metres with a bicycle. After she retired from cycling, she became a stuntwoman, acted in theatre and also became an aviator!
