I’m really annoyed at these sponsored posts showing up on my dash right now. I had a woman with a grotesquely swollen abdomen next to a worryingly monstrous ultrasound scan the other day, and I just scrolled past one huge spider and loads of baby spiders. I’m not precisely phobic about either of those things but they do make me uncomfortable (and itchy in the case of the spiders), and plenty of people are phobic of either or both. Why allow stuff like that to appear without warning or tagging?

The advert situation is also annoying but for a different reason - my shitty internet keeps freezing on all of these moving images and flashing lights. But again, what’s annoying to me presents an outright health risk to some people. I have experienced aura migraines from visual triggers in the past; I don’t want to get a migraine from looking at my dash.

This is some ableist corporate bullshit right here. :/
