Souichi x Reader; A Prank

"Hello?" 

Souichi stopped laughing when he heard the sound of your voice on the other the line.

"Uh, yes, is this Y/N?" He pinched his nose as he spoke "Yes it is. Who is-" 

"Congratulation! You’re the lucky winner of our raffle! If you could, please come to Moriyama Park located near the middle school for further details on your prize! Be sure to come, alright?" Souichi quickly hung up the phone before you could respond. 

"Kususu.. That idiot.. She's actually coming.. I'd better get everything ready!" Souichi ran out of the phone booth and headed back to his house.

When he got to his room, he quickly started to prepare his disguise and props.

He looked down at the different masks that were spread-out on the floor. "Hmm... Zombies? No.. Vampires? Nah..." Souichi leaned back at his hands and looked around the room. “What would a girl like her be afraid of...?” His eyes stopped on one of the horror movie posters hanging on the wall. " Spiders?... Now that will do perfectly..."

Souichi got everything ready and headed downstairs.

Before he could reach the front door, his older brother grabbed him by the shoulders. "Souichi! What are you doing up at this hour?" Souichi jumped at the sound of Kouichi’s slightly irritated voice. "H-Huh? I should be asking you the same thing.. isn’t it a school night?" Kouichi walked in front of Souichi, blocking his path to the door. "Go back to your room right now. You remember what happened the last time you snuck out, don't you?" Souichi huffed as he was ordered back upstairs. He knew that if he was going to sneak out, he would have to wait until everybody was distracted. 

After 20 minutes had passed, Souichi walked back downstairs and carefully put his ear against the living room door. When he was sure that everybody was completely engulfed in the program, he quietly dashed towards and out the front door. 

As Souichi got closer to the park, he swore he could hear you talking in the distance.

"Where is he..? If his plan is to make me freeze to death, it's working..!" Souichi put his hand over his mouth, trying to stifle his laughter. He couldn't believe that you actually came and waited for him.

He quickly put on the costume he had prepared and positioned himself behind a tree.

When he saw you start to get up, he moved from his hiding spot and wobbly walked towards you.

He evilly smiled as you turned around and made a face of shock.

“What the heck is that?!” You ran away in fear, unsure what the long legged black figure was.

Souichi loudly laughed as he chased you into the woods. The way you were screaming in fear was too funny. It soon became hard to concentrate as tears of laughter streamed down his face.

Suddenly, Souichi's wooden stilt got caught in a bear trap. He tried to rebalance himself as he tripped over and into a tree.

Souichi yelped as his costume got tangled in the branches. 

"Souichi?..." You pulled out a small twigs that had fallen into your hair and looked up at him.

"Damn you, Y/N.. You really went all out and set a trap, huh? How cowardly of you!" Souichi yelled as he dangled in the air.

You examined the bear trap that his fake leg was caught in.

"Huh? I didn't set this up?.. I think it might have been the-" You stopped talking when you heard the sound of a leaves crunching in the background.

"What? What the hell are you kid's doing here?!" An older man shun his flashlight on you and Souichi to get a better look of the situation. "So you're the one who’s been vandalizing my cider trees! I'm gonna make you pay for that!" Souichi’s heart started to race when he saw that the man was holding a large axe.

"Wait! It's not what you think!" The man stopped walking when you grabbed his arm. "He isn't the one responsible for ruining your trees... It's me!" You bow and start to apologize "I promise I wont do it again. So please don't report me... or him..." 

Souichi shocked by your confession. He couldn’t understand why you were apologizing for something that was obviously his fault. 

To both of your surprise, the man accepted your apology, but he claimed that if he saw you on his land again, he wouldn’t let you off with just another warning. 

Souichi watched you continue to apologize as the landowner walked away. When he was finally gone, Souichi went back to trying to break-free from the tree.

After a while, you sighed and put your hands up in the air. "Need some help?"

Souichi let go of all of his strength and reached for your hands "...yeah...”

i just found out about the oldboy remake? i just watched the trailer and it looks reaaally stupid, especially compared to the original. and the main guy, in the words of my dad, "couldn't act his way out of a paper bag." ugh
