college results update:

i got into sarah lawrence college (on international merit scholarship which is unexpected and cool) and bard college so far! waitlisted at bowdoin but it’s cool :^)

eight more schools pendinggggggg gotta wait until the end of the month

IT’S SO BLURRY AGUHUHUU but for our mulitmedia arts class we were asked to submit a character design sheet which is ALWAYS FUN and man it felt soooo good to draw again just for myself. (granted it was an assignment but yknow) i’ve been in a slump for the past month+ so YEEAAAHHHH I’M OUT OF IT

SO because i’ve not written a thing in like........ ever (despite the fact that i have a ton of fun writing) i was working on this au jalph fic that i’ve been itching to write for months LMAO

but as i started writing i remembered i wanted it to go a different way............. so now i have no idea what to do with this chunk of introduction i have here that i like but am not going to be able to use ghghhghhhhhh im gonna dropkick my laptop off the face of this earth

OK SO CONFESSION: I LOVE BATTLE ROYALE (???idk what it is with me and stories where there’s a group of kids and they all kill each other?? lotf dang rope and battle royale??? i dont even like gore????) it’s my favorite book ever breathes a lot and ABOUT A MONTH AGO i read this battle royale fic and fell in love with a pairing i didnt know id love so much and i was trash for that ship for like a week and made a bunch of headcanons LAUGHS INTO THE DISTANCE.........i was really ito it

and because i dont want these headcanons to rot in my files and eat away at my sanity im posting them here

Shinji has played around with girls but his feelings for Hiroki are honest, and probably a lot different. He probably still remains confident and sure of himself the way he does when flirting with girls, but there will be moments where he kind of doesn't know what to do or gets flustered, simply because this is the first time he's truly liked someone. (Though of course he'll probably try to cover it up, that fucker.)

Shinji may be smart and probably the more obvious lead in the relationship, but Hiroki is stronger. And taller. He doesn't let Shinji forget this when Shinji goes out of line.

Shinji forgets to take care of himself a lot, so Hiroki does that for him, and it usually starts by Hiroki lifting him from where he's working on his computer (to which Shinji protests, "let me go, fucker") onto the bed (to which Shinji jokes, "huh, you must want me pretty badly, Sugi"). To Shinji's dismay, Hiroki tucks him into bed and pats his head.

But Shinji kind of likes it when Hiroki takes charge of him like that and treats him so well.

Hiroki knows how to deal with Shinji's means of communication -- Shinji likes to mask his hesitation with cockiness, jokes, and sarcasm, but Hiroki can see through to what he really wants and never calls on him for it, just happily obliges. (Like Shinji will probably make a seemingly sarcastic comment about taking a couple pic or something, and Hiroki will know that he wants to do one but won't make fun of how he tries to cover it up, and so they do the purikura and walk home in the snow together all happy, each with their own copy. BABIES.)

Hiroki is uncomfortable with PDA, but sometimes Shinji gets him to hold his hand when they're in public or in the subway, "because otherwise you'll get lost, Sugi". He knows Shinji is making excuses (how can Hiroki get lost when Shinji can see his head sticking out above most of the crowd?), but Hiroki doesn't really mind.

However when Hiroki is up for PDA, Shinji gets embarrassed -- mostly because Hiroki's PDA involves lifting Shinji in one way or another. But he secretly likes it.

Hiroki is incredibly affectionate in private, though.

So is Shinji. But he's pretty affectionate in public, too, so it doesn't make much of a difference.

Hiroki is an excellent cook. Shinji survives off of instant ramen, because he's too busy being Shinji to learn to make himself a decent meal. Hiroki makes it a habit to cook for Shinji once a week. ("Make me a lunch bento, won't you, Sugi?") (He does, to Shinji's surprise - and embarrassment.)

Hiroki wears glasses sometimes for reading or doing schoolwork. Shinji thinks they look nice on him.

Shinji needs glasses but doesn't have any. Hiroki helps him pick out a fashionable pair that "won't cramp his style" or "damage his rep". Shinji ends up wearing them all the time, saying he looks like a hot teacher. Hiroki sure thinks so.

After their first night together, Hiroki slowly and nervously learns the ropes of sex. While Shinji enjoys taking control as a powerbottom, sometimes Hiroki will truly take advantage of his status as the top. Shinji finds this incredibly arousing.

Shinji, much like a cat, enjoys the warmth of Hiroki's lap -- resting his head on it, sitting on it, etc.

Sometimes Hiroki catches Shinji staring at him. Instead of being embarrassed at being caught, Shinji grins and rests his chin in his hand, saying, "You're awful cute, Sugimura. You know that?"

Sometimes Shinji catches Hiroki staring at him. Hiroki is embarrassed, but sputters something like "you just look really good and it's hard not to stare", and this consequently turns Shinji a shade pinker, even when he replies seemingly nonchalantly, "it's as if you hadn't know that all this time, Sugi".

Shinji's pretty good at English. Though the words do sound weird in Shinji's voice, Hiroki smiles every time.

They take turns walking each other home.

Shinji doesn't like being jealous -- he thinks it's petty and lame. But he can't help clinging to Hiroki when Takako Chigusa is around. Takako is one part annoyed and one part amused. Hiroki is all parts embarrassed, but somewhat pleased.

Hiroki doesn't like being jealous either, but he can't help it, and to make matters worse, Shinji's got a bit of a playboy label with the girls. Hiroki never says anything, but once, when Shinji's putting on his usual show for the girls, he notices how much quieter Hiroki goes and how much more serious his gaze becomes. From then on, he continues to joke, but stays away from the flirting at all costs. (He's excellent at dealing with Hiroki's means of communication as well.)
