i'm not sure if you remember me, but i was wondering about ib and linguistics and stuff like that before! i was meaning to ask this stuff earlier but only got to it now. does the ib subject choice really matter, like is there any subject that would help? i'm kinda hovering over a few options for my sixth subject
hey!
ib subject choices honestly don't matter a lot for linguistics (unless a particular school you're applying to wants something. but then again UCL was like "HL maths and an HL science would be cool" but they gave me an offer with SL maths and SL bio soooo)
personally though i've found my subjects fairly helpful
i did two HL A languages (english langlit and finnish lit), SL french B, HL history, and SL maths and bio, and so far i'm pretty sure i've used something from all of them
but at the same time, i don't think i would be lost without any of them
so ultimately, no, they don't really matter
