him and jayden kinda make my blood boil… the rest of your ocs are either lovely or at least have redeeming qualities but those two don’t seem to register that their actions have an effect on anyone else (or maybe it’s just that they don’t care how it affects them which is almost worse) and even tho it’s fiction, it makes me so irritated 😅 < hopefully this is obvious but tone doesn’t always translate well online… i love your fics so please don’t misunderstand and think i’m irritated by the way you’re writing

I feel like, in Jayden's case, it's about 50-50 between these two. Oftentimes, he realises he's done something shitty, but he convinces himself that it's fine, or hopes that the person will just forget about it if he doesn't bring it up again.
For Jonathan (omg I swear I don't just dislike people whose names begin with the letter J or think they're all horrible), he definitely leans towards not realising how his decisions affect others. Like when he had the baby; it was easier for him to just not say anything at the beginning, and he genuinely didn't think Charlie would be as upset as he was, therefore he doesn't feel like he's done anything wrong.
