Credit to @start_the_wave : Pals, I really dig this book. It’s bringing Veganism and Environmentalism together (my jam) in a super informative read from a personal perspective. Jonathan Safran Foer shows us that we are all human and all on our own individual paths to a more critically conscious lifestyle. Whether you are someone who can shift their actions cold turkey (pun intended) or like Jonathan, eating a meat based burger from time to time is what gets you by, this book will open your eyes. I love how this book can be a buddy for anyone at any point of their journey. Maybe you have been thinking about your footprint but haven't quite got the full call to action? Maybe you have been at every environment march in your area? Or maybe you are like me, over 12 years into veganism/sustainable living and always looking to dive deeper. #alwayscurious 😏 We Are the Weather does highlight what's on your plate, yes, but I gotta say, that's not the juice that blew my mind. This book re sparked me to the impact we all have as individuals on our planet while also leaving me in some pretty deep thought as to why we can come together as a community, city, or even nation to fight some evils but not others. Check it out if you feel called! And if you are looking for a more animal focused/vegan read I highly recommend Jonathan's previous book Eating Animals.
