“Gabi, please don’t be like that,” Sam pleaded. He understood her frustration, he did, but he’d not been at this school a year and had been in two terrible relationships. One he was cheated on, one used to make someone else jealous. And maybe third time was the charm? “Can’t we just see where things go? I really like you. That counts for something, right?”

Normally, Finn visited Libby on the weekends during the school year. They both were well aware of his visitation routines, and he always had the perfect excuse to tell his girlfriend back home. It had become second nature, and now, it wasn’t really feeling like a lie anymore.

Today was different though. It was a Tuesday, and here he was, pulling up to Libby’s place and knocking on the door.

When Libby answered, her expression reasonably confused, he wasted no time, a slightly sick grin on his lips. 

“I told her,” he confessed. “I came right out and told Chelsea. I couldn’t wait until Friday to tell you, and I wasn’t about to te--”His rambling explanation was quickly interrupted by Libby’s lips against his, melting into her kiss. He definitely wasn’t going to complain about this. A soft moan released from his lips as he led her back into the apartment, shutting the door and shoving her against it. 

Before long, a trail of clothes went through the common area, leading right up to the bathroom. The two’s lips were still fighting for dominance underneath the spray of hot water, their noises of pleasure echoing off the tile walls.

This wasn’t them sneaking around. They had no secrets to keep. Here they were, as a real boyfriend and girlfriend, celebrating the defeat of the biggest skeletons in their closet. 

“Dude? Dude! Finn, wake up!” Puck insisted groggily, throwing his pillow across his dorm room to his roommate, who’s moans were crossing over from dream world.

Finn groaned quietly before jumping awake, his eyes wide as he looked over at his best friend. “Wh-What?!” he mumbled. 

“You were moaning in your sleep. It sounded like a pretty hot dream, but it’s four in the morning,” Puck chuckled, rubbing his eyes.

“Sorry,” Finn grimaced before dropping his head against the pillow. It had felt so real. It felt like he had finally overcome his biggest demon, but in reality, it was still facing him. 

Maybe this was a sign. Maybe today was the day.
