my versions of these kids are named River, Inago, and Hudson respectively. these are subject to change, but i do have reasoning for them. in my mind, they were created from the River Styx, and were always intended to be low rank demons with no real semblance of identity; hence the lack of names and speech in the movie. they also represent one of each of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. River represents war; Inago, famine; and Hudson, death. There is another sibling who represented Conquest, who left.

as a group, they use/allow any pronouns and do not consider themselves any gender. quite frankly, this is because they think it’s stupid looool. they do have ones they kind of prefer most though! they were also named of their own volition because, honestly, Azrael was not good at it. They didn’t like any of his ideas.
the naming process consisted of looking at a million human baby name books since they were interested in the culture despite not really caring about the humans themselves.
while they do not communicate verbally, they can via telepathy! the connection is strongest amongst themselves, but they can extend the ‘frequency’ to others if absolutely needed.
none of them really ‘need’ to eat or anything to live, but they enjoy it and will always bug az for something lol. they could also technically feed off of things related to their Purposes, though.
unsurprisingly, they really enjoy fast loud music. shit like limp bizkit and slipknot. metal.
they don’t usually call azrael Dad unless the situation is dire. on average, it’s just Azrael since they still kind of see him as a boss, but sometimes there’s a ‘Pops’ or ‘Mom’ when they think it’s funny.
since they’re from hell, their bodies react very literally to their emotional states. they already run warm, but when stressed or especially angry, they essentially get a fever. it’s like they’re on fire.

river ;
she prefers she/he pronouns the most.
chose the name river because of the ‘Styx, naturally.
She is the self appointed ‘leader’ of the group.
the most violent and instigative compared to his siblings.
fights dirty. bites, spits, hits really easy to injure spots when she can. that stick FLIES when he’s out for blood.
also probably has the most fun with her job. he LOVES the hunt, toying with victims.
likes her hair braided, but takes it out a lot and settles for a pony. it’s also a little bit wavy, just too greasy to hold its shape usually.
he has a fascination with fire. watching it and setting them.
also enjoys property damage. breaking things, burning them, etc. graffiti.
VERY big black and white thinker; you’re either on his side or against her, bad or good, etc.

hudson ;
he prefers he/him the most.
chose hudson because it can mean ‘the hooded man.’
‘second in command;’ keeps river in check a lot of the time.
he’s the most level headed of the three, but he doesn’t really Step Up too often.
big fan of sneaking up on people and toying with their heads by not being where he was before lol. unfortunately, this is also just a deeply embedded issue he has because he will just wander off a lot. azrael has been victim to both scenarios.

shoulder-length hair he rolls up and tucks into that fuckass beanie. it is tangled all the time but he refuses to brush or cut it. azrael has tried, only to get punched the fuuck out.
he kind of can’t see for shit, but refuses to really do anything about it. does own some glasses for reading, though. :)

a bit more chill than river, but not by much lmaoooo. he just likes a plan. tactical chaos.
the most deadpan of the three with a very dry sarcastic humor and tone. azrael can’t tell if he’s proud or fucking hates it. he’s worried it’s his fault.
prefers to be left alone, or at least doing his own thing around their siblings.
likes to mess with the others a lot. pranks, teasing, bits, etc. #1 ragebaiter.
also has a habit of stealing from folks ..

got too into a movie and have now watched it like five times since getting into it like a month ago and also some of my favorite characters are the nonspeaking triplets with nearly no content online.
Kevin Smith, I.M.O., is an Alanis Morissette among men, but does any one else think that Noel would've been perfect to play one of the Stygian Triplets/hockey players/Azrael's lackeys in Dogma, given his age at the time, look, and Mickeyness? I've always been surprised he wasn't.
