FINALLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT STYLE ROOTS!!! do you know which ones yours are?
OMG, I feel like this is a monumental meeting LOL
My guess is that I am Mushroom, Flower and Fire. I kinda toted with the idea of Mountain being somewhere in there, but it doesn't feel right.
What about yours?

I was thinking of Caroline Forbes style across the three shows she is in and how it evolves, while still being very consistent. I'm thinking of it mostly in terms of style roots, a system that IMO is super useful for analyzing character's personalities through their clothes.
S1 Caroline is preppy, 'feminine', playful, but also tries to be cool, which IMO isn't fully her. She's using Flower (delicate, intricate, gentle) and Sun (playful, colorful, creative), which are her style roots, but also Stone (casual, relaxed, urban), which isn't really part of her style.
This picture is a perfect example of Caroline looking great, but she doesn't really look like the Caroline from later on, who is comfortable in her skin. This one is trying too hard to be what she thinks is 'cool'.
Then she becomes a vampire and starts adding Mountain (powerful, mature, decisive) a style root that she keeps till the end of Legacies. Cu3 th3 blazers, the more geometric cuts and I would say even the use of the color black. Caroline looks very mature and powerful in black. This is the ‘headmistress’ look, the ‘mom’ look and the ‘immortal vampire’ look.
She still uses a lot of Sun (vibrant colors, palyful layering, summerish styles) and Flower (cardigans, light colors, sundresses), as they both make her Caroline, but I would say by the end of the saga, she’s a good combination of all three, in this order: Mountain, Flower, Sun.
I am trying to think what are Caroline's best looks, but the internet isn't helping me find them, so here are a few examples:
This one leans a lot into Caroline's delicate and soft side, but I think it has enough structure and playfulness in it, to feel quintessentially Caroline.
Lacks her playfulness and creativity, but this one is a peefect older Caroline look.
Probably her best formal dress, as it has a perfect bland of Mountain (imposing, powerful) and Flower (delicate, romantic), but also the tiniest hint of Sun (shiny).
And the last one, the perfect bland of the three.
Anyway, what I want to say with this is that, despite the shows ups and downs, Caroline is a consistent character through her style: the sweet fun loving girl who discovered her power once she became a vampire.
