"Private trip to—W-wait, what are you even talking about? What do you mean Apollo's going to be a ship captain? Like, in the future?"
She fidgets with her body as she thinks.
"I mean, it's nice that we end up together. I doubt Apollo would be the type to take a private trip with someone for any other reason. He's not his brother."
(In the future...)
"Ai, you do know I'm not wearing these when I go anywhere, right?"
Ai looks up at Cassidy from her position kneeling in front of her, holding a small bottle of glue and what look like modified nail extensions. "I know. I'm just happy you're letting me do this. I think you'll look great."
"Yeah, yeah. What color are you even painting them? Blue like Spectre's?"
"Hmmm... Nope! You'll see when they've dried and I start painting."
"Alright." Cassidy can't help but smile. It feels like it's been a bit since they bonded like this.
She quickly remembers why it's been a bit.
Cassidy sighs, looking at Ai's star filled eyelights, then at her own bright red "nails."
"I feel like I should have expected this."
"I'm also a bit shocked. But I was right! You look great!" Ai waves her arms in an arc to exaggerate her point.
Cassidy thinks for a moment. "Hey Rebooted, do we have—"
It is in the workshop.
Cassidy grins. "Hey, Ai?"
"Hmm? What's up?"
"Want me to do yours?"
Ai's eyelights widen as her tail picks up speed. "Yes! Oh yes, yes, yes, I would love that!"
Cassidy laughed. "One condition. Though I'm sure you'll have no problem with it."
"Of course! What is it?"
"You can't take them off until they start coming off naturally."
Ai looks at Cassidy confused. "That's it? You're not going to do something bad, are you?"
"Not at all. I swear. Though there is actually another condition that you'll hear after we're done."
Ai takes a moment to think. This sounded like a setup, but she knew Cassidy wasn't like that for anyone but Spectre. She nods her head. "Alright. Let's do it!"
And so, the two change positions. Ai is initially skeptical when Cassidy leaves the room to "grab something." She gasps when Cassidy returns with contact cement. Oh, she was going to be wearing these for a while. Still, she trusts Cassidy. And the trust seems to pay off as she looks at her new set of lime green "nails" matching close to her eyelights.
She looks at her sister, her tail wagging. "I can definitely wear these until they come off."
"That's good. Now for the second condition."
"Wait, a second one?" Ai suddenly feels worried. "You said one condition."
"Yeah but I wanted this one to be a surprise. And now you've agreed." Casidy smirks.
"That's... not how that works, but okay. What's the second condition?"
"Send a picture to Apollo and ask what he thinks about them."
Ai blinks. "Okay!" she says with a smile.
Cassidy smiles. If she was right, the boy's eyelights would be glued to her new additions whenever the hung out in the future. Sweet revenge disguised as sisterly bonding. Perfect
"Alright. It's sent." Ai shows her message board, which has a background of stars in the night sky.
[AngelAi sent an attachment.]
[AngelAi] I got my nails done! Well, they're extensions, like extra things you can add.
[AngelAi] What do you think?
Not long passes before Cassidy snickers. "Somebody's excited to hear what her crush thinks of her new look."
Ai quickly looks at Cassidy. "What? No, I'm just waiting. What makes you think I'm excited?"
Cassidy points, and Ai follows the pointing to behind her... at her tail... which is wagging at incredible speeds. Ai's visor turns green, and Cassidy begins cackling.
"Well, why don't you send the same thing to Shuriken?"
Cassidy closes her eyes, still chuckling. "Hah, like I have any reason."
...
"Thank you, Rebooted."
Cassidy opens her eyelights. "What?" She looks down in horror at the message board with Shuriken.
[Cassidy sent an attachment.]
[Cassidy] Ai's playing around with attachments.
[Cassidy] Um, what do you think? Do they look nice?
Giggle.
Cassidy's phone pings and she looks at the screen.
[THATNinjaStar] They look nice.
[THATNinjaStar] Bri really likes them.
Cassidy smiles at the first message, and then her smile softens at the second. Ai notices, but decides against saying something.
A few minutes pass of before Ai's phone pings, and she's looking at it within less than half a second.
[SpaceCadet] They look very nice.
Ai giggles, tail slowing down a little bit.
Somewhere on Titanium-28, a young boy is screaming into a pillow.
Ai looks at Cassidy beside her and smiles, her tail wagging happily.
"I love spending time like this."
"Yeah." Cassidy smiles. "Me too. So, what now?"
Ai puts a finger on her lip and thinks. "Eyelashes?"
"Pfft... Sure."

She yelps, hopping a good few cm off her bed.
"Crush? I don't have a crush on Apollo. I was just caught up in everything that had happened." She makes a nervous giggle followed by a sigh. "All the time I've spent reading and watching romance filled my head with silly thoughts."

...so you wonder what you and Apollo's kids would look like?
Her visor flushes green.
"That's not it! I swear, I'm not..."
She flops back on her bed with a sigh, defeated. "Kinda. We don't have the Solver, so we wouldn't have a kit. But I also just really like pillbabies. They're so cute and sweet."
A soft smile makes it way onto her face.
It's 12:20 at night why did my brain just randomly remember an old Undertale fan video while thinking "Stylestars core" like what?
I dunno why and I dunno if this was even the one I watched back then
