just my shallot here but I don’t think Rose Quartz was evil per se, but considering its implied she might be Pink Diamond or an otherwise formerly very high ranking person within the Gempire with the knowledge they they aren’t exactly the most altruistic bunch does cast her in a more sinister light.

tbh I think it’s easy to see Rose’s love of all living things and desire to protect them having a kind of “deep end” in the form of an obsession with bringing the dead back to life through gem shard fusion. Personally it makes sense especially if she was driven by guilt for having been responsible for the death of so many gems during her rebellion.

so yeah long story short Rose probably wasn’t evil but likely had a darker side
