I looooooved the new episode and I love the little sad and angry little diamond. first thing that came to my mind was how horrible she must feel with all these big and impressive murals around. she really didn’t have an easy start ...

I drew my icon for the Barrigapocalypse because I wanted to be TOP LARS!!!
What I expected: A cute self-contained episode where Stevonnie is lost then found. Maybe Steven and Connie get in a small fight. Their relationship develops.
What we got: A Stevonnie fever dream ending with PINK DIAMOND’S FACE!!

A few quick thoughts on Pink Diamond: Aside from having so many of our theories about her shattered (and I honestly love it when this happens), there’s already been talk about how her gem seems off. Sure she’s small, but there’s more to it.
She’s not misshapen, she may be smaller than her sisters, but from what we can see, looking at it closely you can see she has a classic diamond cut.
She’s deep cut (hmm, where have we heard that before?) But there are two key differences:
With Yellow and Blue (and every other faceted gem we’ve seen thus far),the top of their gem is facing outward.
Pink is not only upside down, she’s sideways. From everything we’ve heard gem placement is an important aspect of reveling a gem’s personality. Do you really think that much thought was put into her very careful placement without it meaning something? And why else has it taken so long for us to get even this first glimpse of her? Is it possible that the ever talked about Pink Diamond was largely kept out of sight, even among gems, perhaps even those meant to be serving her?
There’s one simple answer, as others have already called it: she’s an off color. And the Diamond Authority couldn’t have that, could they? And Pink’s whinging for a planet of her very own must have become grating at some point.
We overheard Yellow ordering a Nephrite to destroy the organic life on some planet, assumingly against someone else’s protest. If Pink wanted a planet so badly, what better place to grant her request than a place where something tragic might happen? An elegant, utilitarian solution to both problems. Or so it seemed in theory.
Pink also reminds me of Darla Dimple for some reason. Not really related, but I can’t unsee the connection once I looked it up.
