This is neat. I love Dr. Finitevus using Warp Rings to incapacitate enemies instead of straight up fighting them. Its kind of what sets him apart from Knuckles.

Though just because its a rather dull issue going through the motions before getting somewhere, it doesn't mean there's not nice character interactions. Seriously, Mighty being a darn good friend, Julie-Su's use of guns in a last ditch effort, as well as Tracy Yardley's dynamic art, it really makes this page good.

Hm, with how little importance it has to Knuckles' story, I feel they could have cut this side story...or at least ended at the end of the last issue. 'Cause we just get a lot of panels dedicated to Vector and Ray fighting robot dogs.
