Su-25 aka Frogfoot aka Rook appreciation post
such a simple rugged aircraft that still sees service after 41 years. It’s engines being able to run on not only jet fuel but diesel and gasoline as-well allowing it to fly despite fuel shortages. One feature i particularly enjoy is the way the airbrakes were mounted, just at the wingtips as they fold outwards as seen in the 3rd pic.
star of an old Russian song “The Rooks have arrived” written by an ex pilot of the actual plane (i believe)

On 5 February 2025, the VChK-OGPU TG channel reported that a Russian Air Force Su-25SM3 was damaged (likely beyond repair) at the Gvardeyskoye Air Base, Crimea. The aircraft towed by a Ural-4320 APA-5D ASU vehicle was rammed by a KAMAZ truck.
